With more than a decade of experience in dog training and exposure to a variety of training techniques, Shaylee is committed to promoting scientifically backed, force-free methods. Over the years, she has honed her skills through a range of roles, including both paid and volunteer positions. Notably, she served as a dog trainer at the RSPCA and as an assistant trainer at Adelaide Pet Dog Training. In 2021, she joined CBS, where she participated in and later graduated from their esteemed Aspiring Instructor program, further enhancing her expertise.

Shaylee is a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild Australia (PPGA) and holds certification as a dog trainer, having passed the CTT-A exam with the Pet Professional Accreditation Board (PPAB). She also holds additional certifications in Pet First Aid, Canine Enrichment, and Dog Bite Prevention through recognized organizations such as Dognostics and Doggone Safe.

Her passion for canine enrichment is rooted in her personal experience with her Kelpie, Arlo, who has faced significant health challenges since birth. By incorporating enrichment techniques, Shaylee has successfully kept him mentally stimulated while managing his activity levels and alleviating some of his pain symptoms. This firsthand understanding of how enrichment can positively impact a dog’s well-being drives her to integrate these strategies into her training programs
