Having begun her dog training journey almost 20 years ago, Shaylee has experienced many different training styles and is passionate about force free training.
She has volunteered for many years at the RSPCA and is currently an RSPCA dog trainer. She also works as an assistant trainer at Adelaide Pet Dog Training. Shaylee has thoroughly enjoyed her time at CBS, first joining CBS at the start of 2021 as part of the AI program.
She has a Pet First Aid Certificate and Canine Enrichment Technician Certification through DogNostics and has a Dog Bite Prevention Educator Certificate through Doggone Safe. She plans on studying Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training and hopes to be able to sit her Canine Training Technician-Accredited exam soon.
Shaylee’s Kelpie Arlo has had some significant health issues since birth. She has found that canine enrichment has been invaluable in keeping her Kelpie mentally stimulated and has even found it useful in helping to manage some of Arlo’s pain symptoms. Her latest passion is canine conditioning. This means that she spends a lot of her free time researching and coming up with unique ways to ensure Arlo continues to build upon his strength and fitness.
