Helen has lived with and loved dogs all her life.  Helen first became a member of a dog training club whilst still at school and has been actively involved in training and competing with dogs ever since.  She commenced instructing for dog clubs in the 1990s.

Helen has competed in a range of dog sports including: ANKC obedience, confirmation, endurance, lure coursing and scent work, and ACSW scent work.  She has also participated with her dogs in a range of other activities including tricks, dock diving and field work.  Helen is a licensed ANKC Scent Work Judge, a CNWI (Certified Nose Work Instructor) and an Accredited Professional Canine Training Technician (CTT-A) through the Pet Professional Accreditation Board.

Helen recently welcomed an English Setter puppy into her home, and they are currently working through the joys and challenges of puppyhood together.  Helen’s family also includes a one-year-old British Shorthair cat, who enjoys trick training.

Helen values the relationship and bond built with each of her dogs and especially enjoys seeing dogs have the opportunity to utilise their innate abilities.
