Her love for animals led her to a career in dog grooming, where she gravitated towards the dogs who struggled with the grooming process. Over the years, Emma has dedicated herself towards a fear-free approach to grooming, building her business based upon kindness, trust, co-operation and a conversation between dog and groomer.
She applies the same rules to dog training, believing a trusting relationship is the cornerstone of successful training. Since joining CBS in late 2022, Emma has found a real joy in helping caregivers see the best in their dogs, and watching the bond between dog and guardian grow. She has a particular passion for trick training, co-operative handling, enrichment and providing dogs with agency, and is dedicated to her on-going education in the field of animal behaviour and training.
When not running her business or assisting at CBS, you’ll find Emma spending time with her beloved furry and feathered family. She shares her home with Kyah, an independent, wise and spunky senior kelpie, Arrow, a sweet, sensitive, ever-observant kelpie, and her most recent addition, Vander, a goofy, snuggly Ibizan Hound, plus a multitude of parrots and pigeons, and her wonderful (very tolerant!) partner, Eamonn.
